Lexington Film League will screen Heavy Metal Parking Lot, and the rest of the parking lot series, *in* Lexington's own rockin' parkin' lot at Buster's Billiards and Backroom. The screening is part of the citywide music festival, Boomslang: A Celebration of Sound and Art.

Heavy Metal Parking
Lot, an underground classic, documents tailgating metal fans in the parking lot outside a Judas Priest concert in Landover, Maryland in 1986. The others in the series, all by D.C. filmmakers John Heyn and Jeff Krulik, are Neil Diamond Parking Lot, Monster Truck Parking Lot, and Harry Potter Parking Lot.

Total running time is less than an hour - we may loop the series if there is interest. Those coming are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets if they need or want them.

The films are not rated, but language would be considered 'R' in Heavy Metal Parking Lot.

Lexington Film League thanks Bullhorn, Buster's and Boomslang, for making this screening possible. We also thank Louis Zoellar Bickett for the use of his photograph in our publicity.
